This image was originally commissioned by Northern Arizona's Mountain Living Magazine, where Calleri worked, as the cover for the…October 2011 issue. Fine condition. The youthful face of Everett Ruess is portrayed in Calleri's "quirky distortion" style. Everett Ruess, poet and artist, went off to explore the deserts of southern Utah in the early 1930s. He disappeared in November, 1934. The artist of this painting, Fred Calleri, has artwork in at least six galleries in the United States and has been featured in many Southwestern magazines.

This paintin…g was originally commissioned by Northern Arizona's Mountain Living Magazine, where Calleri worked, for an article in the October 2011 issue. It ended up not being used in the magazine.
