Baughman added in ink at the top of the front wrap with a date of 1838. A fine American cyphering manuscript, completely full, with the usual assortment of problems and equations, but this example highlighted with many of the geometric shapes either completed or executed fully in watercolor. Additionally, there are a few charmingly naive folk drawings, including one of a horse and another of a church. Wraps worn, but contents in very nice condition for an American manuscript of this period.
