In the post-Spanish inquisition period, Sephardic Jews came to make up an increasingly significant percentage of the Jewish population of Bordeaux. The book includes some in text figures and as well as quite a lot of bibliographic footnotes throughout. The back of the book includes a photographic plate, reproducing some headstones from old Portuguese Jewish cemeteries in photogravure. This is followed by a fold-out detailed map of Bordeaux (from 1907), with an overlay on tissue, with a more detailed map printed in red. Publisher's advertisements on the back cover. Text in French.
