Small repair to calf of rear board. Creasing to spine. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in slight loss to calf. Previous owner's ink inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean if typically age toned with the odd light spot, heavier to first and last few leaves and fore edge. One or two small chips and creases to fore edge. Repair to closed tear to margin of plate 24 "Guffard Eagle and the Boatman." Slight cockling to leaves. Good Only. book.

The text of vol I is shaken with some gathers very loose in the binding and some light foxing in a few places. Vol. II text is well bound toge ther and is clean throughout. Vols.
