Queste parole hanno dato conferma alla pastorale che per anni ci ha visti impegnati insieme agli artisti di strada dell'Assoc. "Camminare Insieme" nella promozione umana e valoriale del nostro territorio. Le pagine di questo libro sono frutto dell'esperienza di strada che abbiamo condiviso insieme a tanti operatori che si spendono nella nostra isola da sempre vocata all'incontro e all'accoglienza ma anche ferita dalle logiche di potere e diseguaglianza. Le fenditure che vengono a solcare la nostra terra di Sicilia nelle torride giornate estive sembrano mostrare tutta la tempra di un popolo capace di affrontare la vita e di impegnarsi per il cambiamento di cui abbisogna come l'acqua che estingue l'arsura d'estate. È questa passione cha abbiamo condiviso scrivendo queste pagine frutto del confronto con tante testimonianze come quella degli operatori della Cooperativa "Insieme" da anni chiamati a rispondere al bisogno di tanti che hanno affidato la loro storia alla capacità di esser riconosciuti ed accolti dall'altro.
