Enthält auch biographische Angaben zu Georg Fridericus Augustus Dathius (geboren 1729) und Rutgerus Nicolaus Sluterus (geboren 1728). "Georg Ludwig Böhmer (geboren 18. Februar 1715 in Halle; gestorben 17. August 1797 in Göttingen) war ein deutscher Rechtswissenschaftler und Universitätsprofessor für Straf- und Kirchenrecht." (Wikipedia). "Glocken=Lehen, gehört unter die Personal=Lehen, die bloß wegen eines zu verrichtenden Dienstes an jemand zeitlebens verliehen werden. Vormahls glaubte man, daß die getauften und geweihten Glocken die Eigenschaft besäßen, daß sie nicht allein alle Ungewitter, sondern auch die Teufel selbst, welche auf göttliche Zulassung dergleichen erregten, vertrieben; s. im XIX Th., Pfeil-IconS. 101, fgg. Man hielt acht gewisse Leute zu dem Behuf, daß sie sogleich bey dem Ausbruche eines Donnerwetters etc. auf den Thürmen bereit waren, die Glocken zu läuten, um dadurch das Ungewitter zu vertreiben und die Gefahr abzuwenden. Diese wurden gemeiniglich mit einem Hause, welches dem Stifte etc. eigenthümlich gehörte, zeitlebens belehnt, dieses Geschäft zu besorgen. Man findet vornehmlich bey den Dom= und Collegial=Kirchen dergleichen Lehen, wie z. B. Bohmer, in Obss. iur. feud., obs. 7, von der Dom=Kirche zu Bremen dergleichen Lehen=Briefe, S. 191, 202, bekannt gemacht hat. Von andern Pfarr=Kirchen etc. findet sich keine Spur, noch weniger, ob man auch ein anderes Lehens=Object gebraucht hat, als das Haus, welches sich hier eigentlich nur aus den Lehen=Briefen äussert, sonst aber wohl zu vermuthen ist. Diese Art von Lehen hat gleichfalls, wie mehrere andere, von dem Dienste die Benennung des Glocken=Lehens erhalten." (Krünitz). "Kirchenlehen (Feudum ecclesiasticum, Stiftslehen, geistliches Lehen, auch krummstäbisches Lehen, weil die Belehnung von seiten der geistlichen Obern mit dem Hirtenstab geschah), das durch Verleihung von Kircheneigentum begründete Lehen. Dahin gehörten die ehemaligen Patronatslehen, Pfarrlehen, Altarlehen, Zehntenlehen, durch ausgeliehene Zehnten begründet, Glockenlehen, deren Vasallen zum Läuten bei bestimmten Gelegenheiten verpflichtet waren, u. dgl. Die mit einem rechten Lehen verbundene Verpflichtung zum Kriegsdienst übertrug der Klerus, da ihm der Gebrauch der Waffen untersagt war, auf einen Provasallen."
