This particular copy is no. 75 of 350 numbered copies, with Docker's signature to the edition leaf. In the publisher's original dark green cloth. Contains a monochrome frontispiece of Dickes, as well as all thrity-three other plates, including eight colour plates. Collated complete. Dickes was a prolific engraver and illustrator of his time, working on numerous natural history books by Anne Pratt, as well as oil colour prints for the 1851 Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace.
