Illustrated with b&w plates. 5" x 8.75". Decorated red cloth, top two inches of the spine at the front cover hinge chipped, heavily foxed throughout. 62 pp + 4 pp of ads. The cover title is Dinks on Dogs, Ed. by Frank Forester. "Herbert states in the Preface that he 'found it necessary to make no alteration or elision' in this work'" (Van Winkle). Worn, but good.

Pages have some tanning and some pages have some stains. A price is in upper corner of second page, and name of a previous owner is at top of third page. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 663 pages.

Covers soiled and worn, corners and spine ends bumped with wear, cloth torn at head of spine, both hinges cracked, back cover pulling loose from text block, several spots of foxing in the blank margin of one illustration. Original pale yellow endpages intact. Binding snug; contents complete and very neat. Cloth corners lightly bumped; a short, very shallow divot (about 1/2 in length) out of the front edge of the rear board. Rebacked spine has been done professionally but using a rather heavy buckram underneath the original cloth spine panel. Two lengths of cloth tape carefully applied in the gutters of the front and rear endpages. Contents VG+ in a resored binding that preserves most of the original case. Overall G++.
