Durling, lists and describes 4808 imprints held by the History of Medicine Division of the National Library of Medicine. Also included are some incunabula of uncertain date of publication. The catalog of 17th-century books, compiled by Peter Krivatsy and published in 1989, describes 13,299 imprints. The 18th-century catalog (1979), authored by John B. Blake, includes approximately 25,000 items. In the Supplement (1971), Peter Krivatsky lists 27 incunabula and 272 sixteenth-century books acquired since the publication of the previous catalogs.
