A little wear to extremities and light foxing, largely confined to fore edge; otherwise a very good copy. 1944 inscription on first free endpaper and bookplate. Illustrated by 16 pages of plates, including colour frontispiece and by full page text figure. A well illustrated volume in the Lonsdale Library of Sports, Games and Pastimes, series edited by the Earl of Lonsdale and Eric Parker, also the editor for this volume. Eric Parker (1870-1955) was Editor-in-Chief of The Field and a writer on sport, topography and natural history.
