Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book investigates reproduction and growth in two species of cloud forest Peromyscus from the humid Sierra de Juarez mountains in southern Mexico. The author's research adds to the study of the genus, which includes the widely distributed species Peromyscus, as well as two very large montane forms, Peromyscus megalops and P. thomasi. The author's work examines whether similar patterns in growth and reproduction exist between the two species, and how they compare to the rest of the genus. The author also gives insight into the life history of cloud forest rodent communities, and the general ecology of the region. The book will be of great value to students and researchers studying the cloud forest and its inhabitants, and is also of more general interest to those concerned with mammalian biology, ecology, and evolution. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
