Corners bumped, with a bit of cardboard exposed there, minor fraying at head and foot of spine, rubbed along edges. Internally, bit shaken, front hinge cracked, prv own address label, occasional smudge, but overall clean, unmarked, relatively crisp. Temperence novel about the destruction of John Watson by alcohol in the days before Twelve Steps and Alcoholics Anonymous.

The edges and turns are heavily worn and corners rounded. The text is fully present and intact. There binding is begining to crack at mid book, but remains attached. The pages are browned. Most pages have been either completed to some extent, some with very little work completed and others completed completely. The color example pages are still colorful and would be perfect for creating antique style artwork or copied to create other crafts, such as on printable fabrics for quilts or other fabric crafts.

Copyright page dated 1908. Pages are not paginated, but the number has been written neatly in ink in each upper corner. 116 pages. In poor condition. Paper over boards is chipped along edges and lifting from boards. Illustration is toned. Name painted in watercolor in a child's handwriting on rear board. Previous hand-wrote an index on the front and rear endpapers, quite neatly. Front gutter is cracked through; binding feels fragile, but text block remains intact. Coloring in crayon and writing in pencil throughout. Clearly a well-loved book.

Original quarter red cloth over color illustrated papered boards. Corners and edges are worn, else a Very Good copy. What adds charm to this book is the fact that it was used, many of the illustration have been water colored, or a color crayon has been used, and there are few attempts at coping using pencil. An uncommon book.

Litho pastedown of a camel in the desert on the front cover, with 33 full page lithos illustrating the stories all by Wetherbee.Each page of text with decorative red borders. Stories include the title story, Mr. Duck and Mr. Beaver, The Funny Monkey, How the Monkey Tricked the Lion, Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, and Billy Bunter's Battle. This book has edge wear, light marks on cover, and a child put a crayon "x" at the top corner of every page. Three is finger soil on the bottom of the front endpaper and title page and one page has a small closed tear. Fauls are given in detail, but the book is quite attractive and well preserved.

The back cover is; with; the first page came colored in by the author, and the second; ; 9" x 6" Fair missing, and front cover and spine are very loose. There is some edge and corner wear, as well as rubbing along the remaining cover and spine. The title page is partially colored in, bear's pants having been colored by the previous owner. The second page is an introduction to the book and has no illustrations. The third page has some dark colored smudges and tells how to draw different lines. The next page has some practice for drawing different lines, and the figures have been filled in. There are also some dark smudges on this page as well. The next page is various steps colored iln as well. The following page is the steps to drawing a pig, which has been colored silhouette picture, which has some minor crayon traces. The next page is of a horse and a dog, and just the horse's head and saddle have been colored in. On the back of this page is a picture of a house that has been colored have identical images of two bears golfing. However, the first page has been colored by the illustrator, while the second was painted previous owner. The next two facing pages are of two bears on a raft the first picture being colored in by the author, and the second by previous owner. The third set of facing pages are of the two bears at the circus colored of a ram that has been colored facing pages are the two bears practicing archery. The first picture was colored lines around the edge of the page. On the next set of facing pages, the bears are picking apples. This page has only been partially colored previous owner. On the last set of facing pages, the bears are on a see-saw. The page left blank for coloring by the owner has been all colored in. The matching page has no noticed markings. On the very last page there is an eagle and an owl. The owl has been colored red spots blue stripes, and is sitting on a purple rock. drawing a toddler's head, and has been.
