Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book analyzes the evolution of French literary style in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, focusing on the transformative influence of Francois Malherbe. Malherbe, an influential poet of the era, spearheaded a shift away from the exaggerated and ornate style of his predecessors.…As a result, his work initiated a return to clarity, order, and precision in French literature. Through his writings and teachings, Malherbe became a key figure in the development of classical French verse. His ideas would go on to shape the literary landscape of France, making a lasting impact that can still be seen in the writing of French poetry today. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
