Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This captivating book offers a detailed exposition of the Roman Church's historical stance on the subject of heresy, providing an in-depth analysis of the ecclesiastical laws and practices structured to suppress and punish those perceived as diverging from its doctrines. Exploring the evolution of heresy decrees and their application from Innocent IV to Pius V, the author presents an exhaustive legal guide for dealing with heretics, as well as a meticulous inquiry into the processes of denunciation, interrogation, and punishment meted out to those ensnared in the Inquisition's web. Brilliantly researched and profoundly insightful, this book elucidates the genesis, consequences, and far-reaching implications of religious persecution, offering invaluable lessons for understanding humanity's fraught relationship with faith and dogma. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
