The paper has noticeable toning. There is an inch+ tear to the front cover of the book starting at the foredge. The text pages are generally clean and bright. The booklet is in quite fragile condition. There were 36 booklets in the series, this being number 14. "The 'Faultless Starch Books' were a line of primers that were given to early purchasers of the product from the 1890s. They were used as a marketing technique by John Nesbitt. Thirty-six of the books were published from the 1890s to the 1930s, including such children's staples as the ABC book, Little Red Riding Hood, and The Ant and Grasshopper, to name a few.
