Blue sky colored cloth covered boards, are clean and bright Light edge wear to covers. Black Lettering on spine and cover is clear and unmarred. This is NOT an ex-lib or a remainder. Past owner's personal bookplate affixed atop ffep map; old tape repair to tear at bottom of Geronimo photo in book's third plate section with slender peeled adhesion to preceding recto; interior leaves are otherwise clean. Binding is firm.

Reddish-brown cloth rubbed and soiled; 3.5cm tear at head of front joint; shallow wear to frayed spine ends with additional slender fraying along joints; spine lettering dulled but discernable; board corners bumped and worn. Text block edges well toned with light staining. Interior leaves toned with scattered stains and soiling. Binding is still firm. This is a book which was adversely affected by wartime production restrictions as paper quality was certainly below that of pre-1941 WPA publications.

Dark gray cloth; brown spotting to spine cloth; blue stamped lettering to spine and front board remains bright. Text block's top edge soiled; moisture stain at fore-edge heel with interior leaves shallowly and lightly affected at corners. A wonderful example of the Federal Writer's Project, a program of the Roosevelt Administration at the end of the great depression. This copy nearly fine; a small hole to the top right of the cover and some minor marks to the cover; a fine copy otherwise. The museum still in existence in Rhinelander (Oneida County, Wisconsin).
