They are but three that form the crew of a ramshackle space dredger The Red Cow, a ship that has seen far, far better days and yet. Anyway this unlikely trio are drawn into the services of a covert security and private investigation company Galaxy-I, whose only remit seems to be to be to right the wrongs of the galaxy on any level - that is if somebody pays for it.After three 'cases' of their story the book sweeps on to the second part; a completely differing style of criminal investigation, one that is more brutal and hard-hitting set in a different world of corruption and treachery on both sides of the thin nebulous line that divides the lawbreakers and the law enforcers. Again the principals of the narrative are different men, each with their own moral compass in a very unforgiving world where the good-guys are not always bright and shiny and wear white hats - in fact hardly ever.
