A few years later, at a SLADE branch meeting, he heard that Sun Printers, Watford, was recruiting engravers, and he joined the Sun in February, 1956, to work in monochrome and colour engraving. He remained at the Sun for 26 years, leaving in 1982. He later worked in the jewelry trade, eventually retiring in 2007.
