Ajouter au panierSoft cover. Etat : Very Good. Very Good - a strong Very Good. See scans and description. Analog Science Fiction and Fact - December, 1990. New York: Davis Publications, 1990. 12mo, illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 192 pp. Cover by the inimitable Vincent di Fate. Very Good; short, light cover crease, touch wear points around binding, and of course the inevitable age-toning of the paper used in all pulp fiction productions, but here it is modest and inoffensive. Pages are supple. Not far from Near Fine - or would be, if not for that age-toning, unique to the inexpensive types of paper used for the classic American form known as pulp fiction. Herein: contributions by Daniel Hatch (novella, 'Den of Foxes'); Alexis Glynn Latner (novelette, 'Glorystar'); Grey Rollins (novelette, 'Victor Victorious'); W.R. Thompson (novelette, 'Life Among the Immortals'); shorter pieces by Robert Forward; Jerry Oltion; Paul d'Entremont; Brian C. Coad.See scan of contents page. A collectible example of this issue of the 1990 format of a very long-lived series of American science fiction publications - but you know about that. Condition is probably as solid as any you'll be likely to find. Ships in stout protection, of course. L103. Vincent di Fate (Cover) (illustrateur). …

Reprinted with permission from American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Prepared by Members of the AIAA Technical Committees on Space Systems and Space and Atmospheric Physics. This book outlines the potential achievements of solar system exploration, and provides a sourcebook of information on the solar system and the technology being brought to bear for its exploration. This Review is one of a series of Assessments and Reviews prepared in the public interest by the AIAA. The AIAA is a professional society for the field of aerospace engineering. The AIAA was founded in 1963 from the merger of two earlier societies: the American Rocket Society (ARS), founded in 1930 as the American Interplanetary Society (AIS), and the Institute of the Aerospace Sciences (IAS), founded in 1932 as the Institute of the Aeronautical Sciences. AIAA has been an integral part of the aerospace community since it began as a group of science fiction writers dreaming of spaceflight in 1930. Over the past 80+ years, AIAA and its predecessor societies have supported the aerospace community in so many ways - with publications; public lectures and later, technical conferences; journals, and many other activities. A group of the earliest members even performed their own rocket experiments, later forming a commercial company that became a leader in the industry. AIAA has also monitored and often recorded the activities of its members, through those same books, papers, journals, conferences. We watched as airplanes developed into jets; as jets went supersonic; and as spaceflight went from a dream to reality. AIAA can say with pride that an AIAA member has been involved with most of the major milestones in flight, so our history is interweaved with the history of aerospace. We present here a brief history of AIAA as an organization as well as a recognition of important events and pioneers from around the world. Reprint from AIAA.
