It is a treatise on Solomonic Magic relating how King Solomon gained his notorious fame and earthly wisdom through sacred magic presented to him by the angel Pamphilius. The Ars Notoria differs from most angel grimoires, as the majority of Solomonic grimoires revolve around the evocation of spirits or demons. Instead, the Ars Notoria focuses on memory and the ability to understand and absorb whole subjects rapidly. It essentially promised to bestow rapid knowledge upon the recipient.
