Inside all pages and plates with top edge gilt in excellent clean and bright condition marred only with pages 64/65 starting to crack and by a little foxing to fore edge. A lovely copy of this entirely hand printed work originally supposed to be in six parts with the 5th part being published in 1970, however the work was never completed.…

C. K. Dunsterville (Stalky) who was the author of over 250 articles & books, mostly about Venezuelan Orchids, Nora also made substantial contributions and co-authored the book "Orchid Hunting in the Lost World" with her husband, as an added treat this copy is bound in green cloth (they were issued unbound) , the owner had her name (Elizabeth ten Houten) printed in gold at the bottom of the front cover, her name also appears inside the book along with an inscription "Christmas 1961 - from Dunstervilles," dust-tanning is present on the outer page-edge & the owner has made very brief ink markings on four pages in the text, also (! ) included is a photocopy of a touching 2-page handwritten letter from Nora to Elizabeth dated 1992 which mentions "Stalky's" death among other things; Signed by Author.…
