Hardcover. Etat : Fine. The Specimen Book, Workbook of Types - The Haddon Craftsmen The Workbook of Types (also titled Type Specimen Book) is a vintage typographic reference published by Haddon Craftsmen, Inc., a prominent American printing and bookbinding firm. While later company records place their operations in Scranton, Pennsylvania (specifically after a 1940 relocation), the original specimen books were primarily issued when the company was based in Camden, New Jersey. The Workbook of Types was produced circa the 1930s to 1940s. Although the user query and some later catalog listings reference Scranton, the title pages of these volumes typically identify the publisher as "The Haddon Craftsmen, Inc., Camden, New Jersey." The company moved its operations to Scranton in 1940, which explains the association with the Pennsylvania city in later documents and reprints. These books served as essential marketing tools sent to advertising agencies, newspapers, and designers to showcase the foundry's available typefaces and decorative elements. These two volumes are in excellent condition with no blemishes or damage. They have been marked as 1940 publications, but this was used as the books show that they were published from the Pennsylvania location rather than the New Jersey original location, so the books could have been published any time after 1940. Whatever year they were published, they are in new looking condition - see photos.…
