"Mein Gedicht ist Mein Messer - Lyriker zu Ihren Gedichten" ("My Poem is my Knife : Poets and their Poetry") is an anthology in which poets present their poems and also talk about what their poetry means to them. Thus the book is a collection, not just of poems, but of prose sections wherein the poets lay bare their poetic souls. The book, published in Heidelberg, Germany, by Wolfgang Rothe in 1955, was edited by Hans Bender.
