Vor allem eine adäquate Verwendung der Verbformen scheint problematisch zu sein. Diese Arbeit untersucht im Rahmen einer kognitiv linguistischen Annäherung zur Sprache und zum Spracherwerb, welche Rollen die Frequenz im Input und der Transfer aus dem L1 Norwegischen für den fremdsprachlichen Erwerb des deutschen hypothetischen Konditionalgefüges spielt. Ferner wird untersucht, welchen Effekt expliziter Unterricht auf den fremdsprachlichen Erwerb dieser Konstruktion hat. Methoden- und Datentriangulation wurden in dieser Arbeit verwendet, um eine möglichst tiefschichtige und komplementäre Einsicht in den Untersuchungsgegenstand zu erhalten. Bislang gibt es nur wenige Studien, die Einsichten der Kognitiven Linguistik als Erklärungsgrundlage für den Fremdsprachenerwerb verwenden. Folglich ist der vorliegende Ansatz für die weitere Entwicklung dieses Forschungsfeldes zentral. Ferner kann die Studie als ein wichtiger Beitrag zur anhaltenden Debatte über den Sinn des Grammatikunterrichts dienen. Darüber hinaus gibt diese Arbeit DaF-Lehrenden bessere Einsichten dazu, warum das deutsche hypothetische Konditionalgefüge den Lernern Probleme bereiten. 252 pp. Deutsch.
