CONDITION -- Near Very Good -- This is a previously owned book which remains clean and attractive, with the following imperfections and particulars noted : EXTERIOR : The title label on spine is darkened and chipped, with small loss; slight weathering (toning) about the edges; front title label is somewhat dulled; there is nicking and chipping about the edges and joints; board surfaces have modest rub; text-block edges are toned, else clean. BINDING : The book has obviously been read and thus is not as tight as when issued however no leaves are detached or loose; the boards have a slight bulge. INTERIOR : The paper is toned and likely somewhat fragile (typical of paper in German books from that era); There is an inked signature, with date on the front of a previous owner (Feldmann / 14 Dec 51). There are two small penciled notations , either from the publisher or binder, otherwise the interior is clean and free of marking. A small shop label of the original bookstore from which the book was first purchased is affixed to the rear paste-down ( Paul Ewert - Herne).
