The first edition, first impression of each of these works by Brian Vesey-Fitzgerald, namely: The Ladybird Book of British Wild Flowers (1957), and, The Ladybird Book of Garden Flowers (1960), and, The Ladybird Book of Trees (1963).Each work has decorative endpapers and is filled with several botanical illustrations, both colour plates and monochrome vignettes. Illustrations by Rowland and Edith Hilder (Wild Flowers), John Leigh-Pemberton (Garden Flowers), andS. R. Badmin (Trees). Externally, generally attractive with light rubbing and a few marginal handling marks to 'Trees'. Some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and the extremities. Wrappers are both a trifle toned with a few age spots to the reverse of each, and have minor handling marks and slight edgewear. Internally, firmly bound with generally lovely, bright, clean pages; the odd very light handling mark across the set, and a few small spots to the outer leaves. Very Good Indeed.
