Both Volumes are securely bound (no gutter splitting, although gauze is beginning to show between a few pages to Vol I), contain numerous margin notations some in pencil and some discreetly in ink which do not impact text, and very slight slant. Covers are clean and bright, with rubbing at the corners, shelving bumping and mild fraying to Vol I headband and Vol II tail, and still-crisp gilt lettering at the spine.
