(-L8 blank); Badius Ascensius's woodcut device on title page; text largely in double column; title repaired at top right corner affecting a few letters all neatly supplied in manuscript, and causing loss to the large woodcut initial on the… verso; last leaf limp with tear in the fore-margin (no loss of letterpress), burn hole in leaves V-VIII in the first part (with small losses), occasional stains and ink smears throughout; 18th-century marbled boards rebacked in black pigskin in the 20th century. Faults aside, the text is relatively clean and the binding is sound. Armorial bookplate of Chichester Cathedral.
