Oblong folio. pp. 410, [2, [3, Index]; frontis. and numerous photo. ports. and illusts. by Thomas Marine throughout, one plan of the canal; minor fore-edge tears or chips to prelims., creasing to one or two leaves, occasional finger soiling, else very good in the original boards, recently rebacked to style, a.e.g. Seller's inkstamp of "Trott's Novelty Shop, 33, Front St. Colon" to front blank, and presented "To Mother & Dad from Genevieve & Ernest [Trott] January 1913 Colon Rep. This copy was on sale at Trott's Variety Store in Colon, and presented by the store owner Ernest Trott to his parents.
