Lower part of boards damp stained, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 7 full page drawings, including frontispiece and by endpiece vignette.… Decorated by publisher's device on verso of title. A collection of sixteen short stories, whose authors include Walter de la Mare and Henry Miller. Edited by Denys Val Baker (1917-84), Welsh born novelist and short story writer, who in the 1950s moved to Cornwall, where he found inspiration for many of his later books, including autobiographical works.
