Corners, crown and foot of spine bumped, fraying slightly. Closed tear, about 1 inch long, at top of front hinge. Primarily impacts cloth, revealing a glimpse of backing linen, but about 1/4 inch at top of tear impacts boards as well. Spine faded about a shade lighter than covers. Covers lightly scuffed, likely due to shelf wear. No lettering or illustration rendered illegible. Fore edges gilded. Roughly 10 inches tall by 7.5 inches wide. No date on title page or copyright page. xxi + 293 pages. Aside from the missing title page in fine, unmarked condition.
