"When Barry Litton and his side-kick Tom Willow rode into Holy Creek they found themselves in the middle of one of the roughest feuds in the West. Fifteen men had already died. Barry recklessly decided to take the law into his own hands to prevent further bloodshe…d. Now he was riding toward the jail. Before him rode three of the Chaney outfit. The chief of the Chaneys appeared with his feet lashed under the belly of his horse, and his hands tied behind his back. Long and loud the voice of the maddened people yelled, 'Murderers! Hurray for Barry Litton! We'll have law and order in this town.' The Longhorn Feud is a tale of the lawless West and those courageous people who, wanting a homeland for their children, risked their lives to tame it." *** This book is part of an Original Owner Collection, of 2000+ Mass Market Paperbacks. He almost felt the impact of his bullet tearing through flesh and bone. A voice moaned. That was Wycombe. There was no vocal strength to the sound; he simply breathed it out. Bloody bubble…s broke on his lips, He twisted suddenly, fell, and lay still. Silvertip had been forced to shoot in self-defense when Steve Wycombe pulled a gun on him. Wycombe had asked for trouble and had met its companion - death! With malicious intent, his will provided that his ranch be divided between Silvertip and two greedy men. Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Fair. First Edition; First Printing. New York: George H. Doran Company 1923. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. This copy has been inscribed ["For / Leonard Bacon - / Scholar (underscored) and Critic (underscored) -"] and signed ["John Schoolcraft"] by the author on the front free endpaper. NB: Signed co…pies of Frederick Faust's books [regardless of which name/s he signed them with] are scarce. Apparently a romantic novel involving tramps/hobos. Green cloth with black lettering/decoration, 295 pages. [With the in-joke that the dedication page reads "DEDICATED TO / FREDERICK FAUST / 'May God love me as I love a / straightforward man.'---Jack Wilton"]. Foxing-like spotting to the edges of the text block [heavily to the top edge], front hinge badly cracked; else would be a lightly spine end bumped VG or better copy. Lacking the jacket. .LR2/4E.
