As his contributor note says, "Michael McClure is twenty-three years old and lives in San Francisco. His two poems this month mark his first publication anywhere." The famous Six Gallery Reading, during which Ginsberg read "Howl" for the first time, and Gary Snyder read "A Berry Feast," and Michael McClure read as the youngest, was only in October of the preceding year, 1955. One narrow broadside sheet. Two spoiled full sheets of Raymond Carver Three Stories on dark yellow paper. Gray buckram boards, printed paper tag mounted on the cover, heavy cream paper pouch. Several of the broadsides are illustrated, and each is individually numbered in an edition limited to 150. Pouch has a three-inch tear at the top of the inside edge, else Fine.
