First edition, inscribed by the editor on the title page, "To Zöe Dominic, it is a pleasure to sign this book to a photographer whose work I've long admired, John Kobal, Toronto 1986". Kobal featured several of Zöe Dominic's photographs in his book Portraits of the British Cinema the year before this inscription, and the Kobal Collection accessioned many of Dominic's works. This collection gathers 41 interviews with stars of Hollywood's Golden Age, from Katherine Hepburn to John Engstadt and Mae West. The publisher Robert Giroux praised it as "the best collection of movie interviews I know of" (Giroux, p. 256).
