This booklet describes the background and events leading up to the fateful day of the Battle of the Alamo and some of the events thereafter (such as the Battle of San Jacinto). Parts of the text take readers on a step-by-step tour of the Alamo historical site with accompanying descriptions. In the back are chapters about nearby missions including Mission de San Jose and Mission San Fernando, a tribute to Texian soldiers who fought in the Battle of the Alamo, and a partial list of the names of the Texian soldiers who lost their lives in the Battle of the Alamo.
