Lekarenko's pivotal exploration of the Arctic in 1925 deeply influenced his work, leading to a portfolio rich in themes of rugged nature and the resilience of northern peoples. His post-war period was marked by a prolific output of landscapes, blending epic and lyrical styles, as seen in works like "Eastern Sayan" and "Twilight of the Yenisei." A skilled portraitist, he also captured the spirit of the northern inhabitants. Honored with the Order of the Badge of Honor, Lekarenko's distinguished career in art and education is a testament to his enduring impact on Soviet art. Signed.
