No publishing date is specified but OCLC and the Library of Congress online catalog cite 1912. Features title leaf plus ten pages of text in which geologist E.N. Lowe proposes aiding flood control for the Mississippi River by diverting the Tennessee River down the Tombigbee River via Yellow Creek and Mackey Creek in Tishomingo County in the northeastern corner of Mississippi. In essence this is an early proposal for what eventually would become the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. Lowe's plan is not mentioned in John Barry's RISING TIDE which, of course, discusses Mississippi River flood control at length.…
