Card covers trade paperback size, 347pp, b&w plates. Light wear on card edges, some creasing of spine, page edges lightly browned; a very good copy. Private Edward Lynch enlisted when he was 18 and sailed as one of the 12th Brigade reinforcements in August 1916. He served in the trenches of the Somme. He returned to Australia in 1919 and wrote this memoir shortly after.
