Interior is solid with an odd stain, finger smudge or bit of foxing to show. Errata slip and folding map of Treaty No. 8 are present. Moisture stain to the bottom edge, more so to the boards and then less so to the first and last number of pages. Boards are gently rubbed and bumped to extremities. Bright gilt titles to spine. Red, block stamped rules to the front board with fresh photographic labels laid in with bold gilt titles. Mair was English Secretary of the Half-breed Commission and documented David Lairds Athabasca and Peace River Treaty Expedition of1899 which included? a map of the country ceded and numerous photographs of Native life and scenery.

This is an ex-library copy with library marking on spine in white pen, embossment on title page, and other minor library markings. Text clean; very good. Charles Mair was the "English Secretary of the Half-breed Commission," Roderick MacFarlane was the "retired Chief Factor of the Hudson's Bay Company." Hardcover bound with half brown leather over marbled boards. Gold stamping on spine; raised bands. Top edge gilt though worn.
