Hardcover. Etat : As New. 1st Edition. In unopened shrinkwrap, 576 gr, 22,5 x 17,5 cm, bumped right upper corner, text byJuri Andruchowytsch From 2002 through 2005, Bertien van Manen traveled all over Europe visiting families and documenting their personal photographs, some selected from albums or hanging on walls, and others stashed in less obvious places around their lives. She collected traces of war and suppression and of happiness and sadness, encompassing a century of history in these recorded--and here re-recorded--meetings of human eyes, minds and hearts. Beyond its very basic appeal, the project seems to reassess van Manen's earlier work--a career of more direct photojournalism including A Hundred Summers, a Hundred Winters, on the people of the former Soviet Union, and East Wind West Wind on the people China--and to memorialize the paper print itself, in light of pervasive new digital cameras and photo-enabled cell phones that make her work all the more rare.…

Hardcover. Etat : New. 1st Edition. I will be Wolf brings together many of these beautiful and never-before-seen images with the editorial direction of renowned British photographer Stephen Gill. Her snapshots of commuters, grocers, chemists, café workers, and street vendors contain all the hallmarks of a bygone era, before the grip of globalisation was able to make its mark on the country. Imbued with an air of ambivalent nostalgia, the book takes its title from the poem Grief by the 20th century Hungarian poet József Attila.…

hardcover. Etat : Fine. Prima edizione (First Edition). 32 fotografie a colori di Bertien Van Manen . Cm 29,5x26,5. pp. 60. . Ottimo (Fine). . Prima edizione (First Edition). . In questo nuovo corpus di lavori, Beyond Maps and Atlases, Bertien van Manen guarda all'Irlanda.
