Quarter Cloth. Etat : Near Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A near Fine copy of this Limited edition title of which this is number 208 of 425. It was issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Eric Ravilious off Iceland. No Dust Jacket (as issued?). Cover: quarter blue cloth and red and white decorated paper covered… boards (decoration is copy of a wood engraving print by Ravilious). In excellent condition. Internally: fine condition, printed on Zerkall mould made paper by the Libanus Press. Numerous illustrations in black and white and an original wood engraving by Ravilious tipped in. 50 pp. Eric Ravilious (illustrateur).

The wood engravings were printed from the wood, and the line blocks were made by Keene Engraving. The contents are able to make one gasp with pleasure. They are hand-pressed, the illustrations and other devices are tipped-in. The pages are gorgeous, creamy, thick, luxuriant in their elegance, very clean and very - as if brand new throughout.
