As we spoke it struck me that there were three things that each of my successful friends had in common, and it didn't matter if they'd grown up rich or poor, what race they were, where they were born, if they were male or female, gay or straight. I mentioned this to my daughter, Emma, who was intrigued. Then I remembered that I had a presentation on my iPad called "19 Ideas for Success" that I had shared for years with new stylists as well as beauty school and high school students, yet I had never shared it with her. I asked if she'd be interested in hearing some of the wisdom I'd acquired over the years. To my delight she said yes, and just like that this book was born. Though this book was inspired by a conversation with my 16 year old, the 25 ideas shared in this book allows anyone over 16 to find the keys to create a life they love. This book shares 25 ideas that help people create success that might still be asking themselves "I don't know what I want to do when I get older" and "I don't know what to do with my life" moments. As Artistic Director for a few of the top beauty brands in the world, including some Fortune 500 companies, I have been fortunate enough to teach in more than 15 countries on five continents.
