Di grande fascino, si presenta così come uscito dalla tipografia, nella sua legatura officinale. Bellissimo insieme che raccoglie i celebri racconti delle due scrittrici…più in voga sul finire del Seicento nelle corti francesi. Autrici di opere fortunatissime, sul modello di Perrault, diedero vita a un mondo in cui il fantastico delle fate si mescola con alcuni tratti della società e della realtà del tempo. I «Contes de fées» della De Murat uscirono in prima edizione a Paris nel 1698 presso Claude Barbin; «Les illustres fées, contes galans» della D'Aulnoy nello stesso anno presso M.-M. Brunet, sempre a Parigi. La prima opera raccoglie «Il Perfetto Amore», «Anguilletta» e «Giovane, e bella». La seconda «Bianca Bella», «Il Re Mago», «Il Principe Ruggero», «Fortunio», «La Regina dell'Isola dei Fiori», «Il Favorito delle Fate», «Il Benefattore, o Quiribirini», «La Principessa Coronata dalle Fate», «La Superchieria Infelice», «L'Isola Inaccessibile». Di estrema rarità: una sola copia dei «Racconti» nella Biblioteca del Museo Correr a Venezia; una sola copia delle «Illustri Fate» nella Biblioteca diocesana di Pontremoli. 2 voll. in uno, in 12°, legatura cartonata officinale con titoli manoscritti al dorso, pp. 132; 168; a ciascun frontespizio la tipica marca di Coleti: zucca tra le foglie.
