Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book explores botany and plant life in Carinthia, a region blending Mediterranean and Alpine influences, home to a diverse array of flora. The author, an experienced botanist well-versed in the region, provides detailed descriptions of over 23 rare plant species either native to or naturalized in the area. The detailed descriptions include habitat, growth patterns, and any distinctions that set the species apart from similar plants. Plant classification and taxonomy play an important role in the book, with lengthy discussions on the then-current state of plant classification and descriptions of new systems developed by the author. The book includes full-color illustrations of each species, aids to identification, and deep dives into plant structure and physiology. The author's insights offer valuable contributions to the field of botany and provide a comprehensive reference for anyone interested in the flora of Carinthia. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
