Since childhood he has been traveling, studying and living abroad. Wherever he went, he writes, "there always seemed to be a war going on." This early awareness of war's desolation led to Nirago's dedication to the cause of peace for all mankind, a cause which has greatly influenced his poetry, and a desire for a fuller life for all. A concentrated period of creativity brought to fruition this particular volume of verse, "A Live Dust Shell" containing reflections on current trends in the philosophical, political and psychological arenas of modern thought and crisis. If one man with courage can make a majority, then one group with vision can change the course of history.' (Quote taken from the back panel) ***'This collection of prose and poetry by Nirago is an assemblage of contagious ideas and images that provides an intriguing reading experience. "A LIve Dust Shell" contains many selections that should awaken response from poetry lovers everywhere, be they purist or rebelling non-traditionalist.' (Quote taken from the front flap of the dustwrapper) ***A near fine copy of the true first edition, albeit in a chipped dustwrapper, published in hardback in the USA by Pageant Press in 1970. Uncommon, especially in the UK. ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc.
