This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The present investigation was conducted at Research Farm of Bihar Agricultural College, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour during kharif season 2014 to evaluate the impact of continuous use of inorganic fertilizers and organic nutrients on productivity, economics and soil fertility status. The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design with 10 treatment combinations, comprised of inorganic and organic sources of nutrients. The yield attributes, grain yield (55.10 q ha-1) and straw yield (66.94 q ha-1) were found highest with application of 50 % N through FYM along with 50% RDF which were at par with application of 50 % N either through green manure or wheat straw along with 50% RDF. Protein and nutrients uptake followed same trend. The superiority of organic sources over the inorganic was more pronounced in yield and nutrients uptake. The 50% substitution of nutrients by organic source in rice established its superiority over 25% substitutions. Application of 50 % N through FYM along with 50 % RDF resulted in highest gross return (Rs 69078), net return (Rs 29912) ha-1 and B:C ratio (0.76) which showed statistically alike with application of 50 % RDF along with 50% N. 124 pp. Englisch.
