CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Overall near fine; minor soiling and rubbing, gilt bright. Interior is clean, tight and solid with some pages uncut. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Vol. 3 only of the set of 6 volumes where members of the Ohio Commandery of the Loyal Legion preserved their recollections and observations of the Civil War. The various papers form a collection of literature not only interesting but of great historical value. This volume with 20 papers. While most are contributed by Ohio men, there are two papers by Rufus Dawes of the 6th Wisconsin describing events at both Antietam and Gettysburg. Very attractive copy of an excellent compilation of interesting and valuable personal narratives.
