First edition hardcover, bound in burgundy cloth, with gilt lettering on spine, is in G condition, having some crimping to top and bottom spine; a small white stain at top of front cover; some light soiling/scuffing/rubbing to closed page edges; name of former owner written in blue ink at top of first fixed endpaper; normal age-toning to pages; some markings in text (notations, underlining, brackets) in ink. Dust jacket, enclosed in protective mylar (mylar not pictured), is in Poor condition, having been price-clipped, and having the spine stained and darkened, with a missing piece at bottom and chipping to top; evidence of an adhesive sticker removed from the soft-paper front; a small hole on back, and much rubbing, and chipping and small tears generally.
