On the blank front free-endpaper, nicely inscribed and signed in the year of issue by the artist, who also drew a sketch. Born in Brussels in 1956, Courcelles began studying art at Saint-Luc at the age of 16 and continued there for 7 years specializing in painting. Courcelles works with different techniques - collage, painting, drawing, sculpture - but is characterized by a particular sense of color associated with a three-dimensional oil material. His works have been exhibited in Japan, Lebanon, Spain, France and Belgium.
