Covers have some edge creasing, small edge tears, and tearing to the spine. Each front cover has the owner's name written in pencil on the upper margin. January issue: sewn binding is coming…undone in front, front cover and two plates are loose. Front cover has slight soil. February: Front cover has light soil. March: Front cover has 2 1/2" stain. April: larger, light damp stains to the outer margins. May & June have the general faults. ; Six individual Issues: January, 1849 No. CXLIV to June, 1849 No. CXLIX.
